Welcome to Ye Olde Bell & Steelyard
Ye Olde Bell & Steelyard is a Charming 16th Century Pub in the centre of historic Woodbridge, it is arguably the finest Public House in the town. Accordingly we do our utmost to give our customers a warm welcome, make them feel comfortable and relaxed when they visit us.
The interior of this beautiful old pub.’ is as enchanting inside as the outside, with massive oak beams, three fireplaces and of course, the club room dedicated to rugby only with the occasional cricket game sneaking in!
On walking through the door you take a trip back in time. Far from being a cold old building, this wonderful pub has a warmth and ambiance that immediately puts you at ease.
Throughout the building there are artefacts and pictures from the pubs long history which are to be explored and appreciated at your leisure.
Ye Olde Bell and Steelyard is a traditional pub in Woodbridge that prides itself on serving real ales to the highest of standards, we serve excellent pub food mainly home made from locally sourced fresh produce.
Our Facilities
At Ye Olde Bell and Steelyard we have the following facilities...
- The Weighman's Room with it's huge fire place and gnarled oak beams taken from old sailing ships, is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
- The Club Room with large screen TV, piped music, Wi Fi hotspot, shove ha'penny, cribbage, polka dice and playing cards. We would happily entertain a bar billiards team, so if you fancy a challenge, please get in touch.
- The Corner Bar seats 16 diners, ideal for quick lunches or longer relaxed meals.
- Our secluded 'Snug' which seats 20 comfortably is perfect for formal dining, private parties and functions including business meetings.
- The Conservatory with a bar billiards table & games machine
- Cottage Style Beer Garden with covered and heated patio for alfresco dining.
